Steps of doing Pawanmuktasana Yoga Pose

Step 1: Before doing Pawanmuktasana, first of all, you place a mat on the flat ground.

Step 2: Now lie down on your body.

Step 3: Now keep both your legs together and keep your hands close to the body as well as keep the palms facing towards the ground.

Step 4: Now you have to bend your right leg from the knee and bring the right leg thigh towards the chest. Now, while holding the fingers of both hands together, hold them slightly below the knee.

Step 5: Now take a deep breath and while exhaling, bring the foot towards the chest, keep it under a little pressure.

Step 6: Try to hold the breath mostly outside and try to touch your forehead with your right knee while lifting the head from the ground.

Step 7: Now keep your left leg straight. Keep both toes pulled outwards.

Step 8: Stay in this position for about 4-5 seconds. After that, while breathing, bring the head slowly to the ground and while exhaling, straighten the hands and feet and return to the previous position.

Benefits of doing Pawanmuktasana Yoga Pose

  • By doing Pawanmuktasana asana, the body becomes light, and digestive power increases.

Precautions need to be taken while doing Pawanmuktasana Yoga Pose

When it comes to caution, we must know that the exercise or work we are doing, is well and safe for us? If we do not do exercises for safety then we do not get any benefit from that yoga. In fact, you could get reverse effects (bad). 

Take the following precautions in performing the Pawanmuktasana yoga pose.

1- People who have complaints of back pain should not make it easy, if you want to do it, then take advice from the trainer.

2- Those who have trouble in their knees should do this yoga only after getting a health checkup or according to a doctor’s advice.

3- Affected people with Hernia should also do this yoga only after the doctor’s advice.

4- Women should not do this yoga at the time of pregnancy.
