An Eid ul Adha is the final celebration after Ramadan. This festival marks the beginning of Zu al Hijjah and is considered to be one of the most joyous events in the Muslim calendar. Every year Muslims around the globe celebrate two important festivals called Eid ul Adha. While Eid ul Adha story refers to the period starting from the day before the new moon on the ninth of Ramadan. While Eid ul-Adha is related to the day after the Hajh on the tenth of month.
The Eid ul-Fitr is considered to be a grand celebration of Hajj which many Muslims look forward to. It is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur and the followers of Islam eagerly await it. The Eid ul-Fitr is a time for Muslims to gather together and relate their experiences about the blessed Eid.
The usual story that is told during Eid ul-Fitr is about the blessed Eid’s golden age. When the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was alive. Stories about his companions also narrate about his piety and his caring nature towards his followers. But the one thing that is not remembered is the incident when he went out on a fishing expedition without a single arrow.

A common Eid ul-Fitr activity that all Muslims partake in is the Five Nights Journey (Nishchitar). On this journey, the believer goes from one destination to another throughout Muslim lands to perform the five different prayers. Abstain from food and drink, and take penance for the sins committed on the previous five nights. The believer has to be patient and calm during the journey and must never be hungry or thirsty. Whoever doesn’t abide by the five vows, receives an Iqra penalty on the following night’s journey.
Memorable Story:
Another Eid ul Adha Story involves a young man named Mustafa. One night during the Ramadan fast. Mustafa was asleep in a house that was set aflame by his neighbors in anger. For several days, Mustafa had been fasting and performing all sorts of activities to appease the angry crowd. On the night of Eid, Mustafa went to play in his garden and when he went back. His father had died and his mother was in a coma. He hid in the bushes until a shepherd entered and found him.
The shepherd took Mustafa to his home where he offered him food and water. But as soon as Mustafa finished eating, he went straight to his bed and prayed for his parents, wife and child. Suddenly, a dog came out of the bushes and attacked him. The angry crowd ran after Mustafa, but before they could stop him, the shepherd cut his head off. But Mustafa managed to run away to tell his father while, Everyone was shocked,. What happened and how the dog had killed his loved ones. That night, Mustafa’s father offered thanks to Allah and continued to celebrate Eid.
